If you are wondering where to stay, where to eat or things to do while visiting San Diego? Then I’ve got the ultimate all-in-one option. One of my favorite spots to check out live entertainment in San Diego, is at Humphreys Concert by the Bay. It is an intimate outdoor concert venue set along the docks on Shelter Island. It’s so beautiful and picturesque, and I swear there isn’t a bad seat in the house with a capacity of only 1400. My only note would be for the ladies to bring some sort of wrap or blanket because it can get a little “cool” when the sun goes down.
The variety of talent coming to perform this summer includes; Rufus Wainwright, Alison Krauss, Chris Botti, Indigo Girls, KD Lang, Ringo Starr, Sheryl Crow, Seal, Colbie Caillat, Gavin DeGraw, Steve Martin, Air Supply, Olivia Newton John, Doobie Brothers, Chicago, Tony Bennett, Bonnie Raitt, Crosby Stills and Nash, and more. Make sure you check their website for up-to-date information on dates and acts www.humphreysconcerts.com.
To really enjoy everything they have to offer, make sure you make a reservation at Humphreys Restaurant, just next door to the concert venue, and an easy 2 minute walk. Take advantage of their Lexus Dinner Show Packages that offers a special dinner show menu with plenty of delicious options to choose from. And a special note, any alcohol that is purchased at the restaurant is allowed to be brought into the concert venue. So, I suggest starting with some of their fun cocktails and order a bottle of wine for dinner from their extensive wine list and enjoy the rest of it during the show.
Or for the ultimate experience, book a room at Humphreys Half Moon Inn & Suites. Many of the spacious rooms overlook the stage so you can sit back and enjoy the show from your own balcony with family or friends.
This is a perfect all in one venue to make a musical experience a memorable one.
